DOORS & FRAMES

National Bullet Proof, Inc. (NBP) manufactures doors and frames with Balistex® steel. This equipment can be Bullet Resistant (BR) or Fire and Bullet Resistant. NBP’s door and frame designs have been tested by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). We offer the option to attach a UL Listed Label to attest to the product’s level of ballistic protection for doors and frames with ballistic ratings of 1 through 4. Additionally, NBP can supply doors and frames meeting the requirements of UL Levels 5 through 8 as well as National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Standards. Door and frame assemblies can also be fire classified.

The BR door resembles a standard hollow metal door. Door and frame assemblies include the door panel, frame and standard hardware. Options include windows, side lites, transoms and special hardware prep. The products are available in a choice of industry standard and custom sizes to meet the project’s specifications and dimensions.

Door Frames

Single Rabbet: Ideal for smaller frame depths.

Double Rabbet: The most commonly used profile.

Offset: The overlap design is useful to trim out wall to frame interface. Available in single or double rabbet.

Clamping: Easy to retrofit existing rough openings. Produced to trim out both interior and exterior wall to frame interface with clamping feature. Extensions are available for walls thicker than 12”.

Sliding: Custom produced for each sliding door application.
