pACKAGE pASSERS
National Bullet Proof, Inc. (NBP) manufactures package passers with Balistex® steel. This equipment can be Bullet Resistant (BR) or Fire and Bullet Resistant. NBP’s package passer designs have been tested by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). We offer the option to attach a UL Listed Label to attest to the product’s level of ballistic protection for package passers with ballistic ratings of 1 through 4. Additionally, NBP can supply package passers to meet the requirements of UL Levels 5 through 8. Package passers can also be fire classified.
Package passers are devices to safely transfer items from one side of a barrier (i.e., a wall) to the other side. The key design elements are BR transfer body and BR interlocking doors allowing only one door to open at a time. NBP inventories some package passer sizes and manufactures custom sizes to meet the project’s specifications and dimensions.
Package passers can include the following options:
- Attached exterior mounting/trim frame with interior clamping frame
- Steel wire door pulls
- Locking L-Handle
- Key lock(s)
- Locking provisions for interior locking of both doors
- Door closers
- Vision panel in door(s)
- Passer body can be prime painted or stainless steel
- The doors can be prime painted or stainless steel (both doors or either door)
- Stainless steel wear plate on the bottom of the interior housing to prevent paint from wearing off
- Fire classified unit with attached UL bullet/fire classification label
- Customer requested special components not listed
